Airport: Vancouver International Airport (YVR) or Tofino-Long Beach Airport (YAZ)
Transportation: Arrival by scenic seaplane flight is the most popular, convenien and generally spectacular means of transport to and from Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge and we can organize service on 5, 7 or 9-seater single engine planes departing Vancouver Airport’s South River Terminal. We would require you to land at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) by 12pm to connect to the shared service on Thursdays and Sundays, arriving at the lodge 45 to 60 minutes from departure. Your return flight to Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is at 4pm on your departure date. This is a shared service joined by other guests of the resort, but private charter can be organized.
The resort can also be reached by boat from Tofino Marina and complimentary parking can be organized neat the Marina. Check in is at 2.45pm for a 3pm departure on Thursdays and Sundays. Boat transfers are a shared travel service and you may be joined by other guests.
Best time to visit: Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge is open seasonally during the Canadian summer. In 2025, the lodge will welcome guests from May 22 – September 21, 2025 inclusive. Peak season is from June 19 to August 31, 2025 with early and late shoulder seasons on either side.
Ideal length of stay: Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge offers packages based on a three night stay arriving Thursday and departing Sunday, a four night stay arriving Sunday and departing Thursday, or seven and ten-night stays arriving either Thursday or Sunday.
What is Included: A stay at the lodge is generously all-inclusive of breakfast, lunch and dinner with inspired daily changing menus, a premium selection of wines, beers and spirits, signature guided experiences and optional guided experiences.
What to wear: Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge is located in Canada's rugged, remote Pacific Northwest. It's wise to arrive prepared for the elements and we recommend packing comfortable, functional clothing including wet weather gear. Average daily temperatures during the summer range from 10-18°C (68-72°F) with overnight lows between 10-15°C (52-62°F). Guest tents are heated by cosy cast iron stoves and hearth fires in the guest lounging areas are always stoked.
